What a badge is

Every badge on this page is a claim a member can put on their Credibility, which is the record that travels with their name in Rena. Closed a first deal. Owns ten doors. Holds a broker license. Runs a short term rental. The catalog is 136 of them, and this page is all 136.

A member claims a badge on themselves, inside Rena PRO. Nothing is checked before it appears, and every card says so out loud. What the catalog does instead is name the public record behind each claim: the county recorder for deals closed, the county assessor for doors owned, the state license lookup for a license, municipal permit portals for a build. Any member who sees a claim that does not hold up can report it, and reports go to review.

Claiming is a Rena PRO feature. A free member holds no badges and carries no medallion. Reading this index is open to everyone, signed in or not, because a mark beside somebody else’s name is worth nothing if the person reading it cannot look up what it means.

The medallion beside a name

The medallion is the small gold seal in the forum, 6, and the number inside it is how many badges that member has claimed. It sits beside PRO members who have claimed at least one, and nobody else. Click it and it opens their Credibility, where each of those badges is named with the record it can be checked against.

The three kinds

Public record

114 badges. Something a stranger could confirm without asking the member, and the badge names where to go and look. Rena still does not verify it, and the card says as much.

Experience claim

11 badges. No public record exists for the activity, so there is nothing to go and look up. A wholesaler, a passive investor, a self managing landlord. Taken at the member’s word, and labeled that way.

11 badges. The only ones Rena awards. They are earned inside Rena and cannot be claimed by hand: finishing your Fingerprint, holding a membership for twelve months, checking in thirty days running, writing a hundred journal entries.
