What do investors actually pay for a list of driven addresses?
Driving for dollars is the task nobody wants to do themselves, which is exactly why there is a service business in driving routes and selling the addresses to local investors. The sticking point is pricing, because two completely different models get described and it is not obvious which one investors actually pay. One is a flat fee per address, somewhere around 25 cents to a dollar depending on whether photos are included. The other is a finder's fee, nothing up front and something like $500 to $1,000 if the investor closes on one of the addresses. The second obviously pays better if the addresses are any good, and it is the classic bird dog arrangement. So why would anybody pay per address at all when they could pay on results? Is the flat fee just for people whose lists are not very good?
