Does anyone track cost per closed deal back through the ad account or just stop at cost per lead
Spent about four months on a seller campaign in Summit County, Ohio, $2,200 a month to the agency, $1,800 in actual ad spend, and the reporting they sent every week stopped at cost per lead, which was running $74. I had to build the closed deal math myself by pulling every lead from the CRM and matching it to the pipeline. Two contracts in four months, one that actually closed. Total spend across both months where those leads originated was about $8,000. Real cost per closed deal was somewhere around $4,000, and the margin on that deal was $11,500, so it worked, but I had no idea if it worked until I did the work the agency was not doing. The second contract fell through on title so I can't count it. If I had just looked at the $74 CPL number and called it good, I would have no idea whether to keep the campaign or kill it. Curious whether others are building this out themselves or whether any of you have found an agency that actually tracks to close rather than to form fill.
