Mid-term platforms I've actually used and what each one is worth
Furnished Finder gets the most traction for me, specifically with traveling healthcare workers. I put a three-bedroom in Garland on there in February and had an inquiry within six days, placed a respiratory therapist for 63 days at $2,400 a month. The platform fee is a flat annual charge around $99 last I paid it, which is nothing if you get even one placement. The profile work matters though, you cannot just dump photos in and wait. I wrote out proximity to Medical City Dallas and Baylor and that specificity is what the nurse coordinators are actually searching for. Airbnb converts if you keep your minimum at 28 days, because their algorithm still surfaces you to people searching extended stays, but the fee structure bites at 3% host side plus whatever the guest pays, and the guest pool is less predictable. I've had relocating corporate people through Airbnb who stayed 45 days and were fine, and I've had people who booked 30 days and treated the place like a weekend rental. VRBO I dropped after two placements, both under 35 days, both more hassle than the revenue justified for furnished work. Corporate Housing by Owner is worth a look if you are chasing the pure corporate relocation market, but my volume there has been thin, maybe one placement in 14 months. For the Oklahoma land adjacent stuff I've been watching, there's almost nothing useful platform-wise in rural markets and it comes down to calling construction general contractors directly and asking who they house out of town.
