Do I need insurance before I'm even under contract on anything?
Mid-process on a couple of things and realized I've never thought about this. I'm not buying, I'm putting properties under contract and assigning. Nobody has mentioned insurance to me once. But I'm walking through occupied houses, taking photos, sometimes bringing a contractor in for a look. Is there coverage people carry at the sourcing stage, or does it genuinely not start until you own something? Also curious what happens if a contractor I brought along gets hurt in a seller's basement.
