Does anyone actually know what a bad skip trace return rate looks like before you waste money on a list
I got curious about this after the 41% thread because I realized I have no idea what the floor is. Like what percentage would make you throw the list out entirely versus keep dialing. I see people celebrate 40% or complain about 30% but nobody ever says what the comparison point is, whether that is against a different list type, a different data provider, or just the last list they ran. I have a paid-off duplex I am sitting on and I read a lot on the passive side, but I keep circling back to wholesaling threads because I want to understand the actual cost structure before I ever do anything active. The skip trace step feels like a tollbooth that might be charging wildly different amounts for the same road depending on who you ask. Is there a number where experienced people just stop and pull a different list, or is it always list-specific and you are comparing it to your own prior runs on similar data?
