Quoted $900 flat to set up a three agent team's CRM. How do I scope that?
A three agent team asked me to build out their CRM. Right now everything lives in a spreadsheet plus whatever the lead portal shows them, about 55 inbound leads a month, and two of the three check leads on their phone at 10pm and then forget to write anything down.
They offered $900 flat.
What I have going for me: I ran the CRM at a small service company for two years, so I can build a pipeline, tags, and a follow-up sequence without anyone holding my hand. I've never charged anyone for it.
What I don't know:
- whether $900 for three users is low. I have no reference point. It feels like real money to me and I suspect that's not a good way to price.
- whether to include text follow-up. They want it. I read that you have to register the business with the carriers first and that can take a while, which means my "two week build" might not be two weeks.
- what happens after handoff. If they call me every day in month two, I've priced my own trap.
- whether I pick the platform or they do. One of the agents already pays for something he doesn't use.
The actual decision in front of me is flat $900 with some support window attached, or $65 an hour with a cap around 14 hours so they know the ceiling. I keep flipping between them and I have to answer by Friday.
