Does the seller care that you found them by driving past their house
I keep going back and forth on this. I want to send a first letter that explains roughly how I got their address, because I figure transparency is better than just showing up in somebody's mailbox cold. But I also wonder if "I drove past your property and wrote down your address" is going to land weird for some people. Like is that a little too close to admitting I was looking at their house and deciding it looked rough. Has anyone actually tested language that explains the driving angle versus a letter that skips it entirely and just asks if they ever considered selling. I am in Phoenix, planning to start mailing in the next 60 days, probably 200 addresses to start.
