my paint and carpet job now has an electrician in it
Dated house, mid seventies, and the plan was paint, flooring, fixtures, light kitchen refresh. Nothing behind a wall. Then the electrician I brought in for can lights told me the panel is one of the brands inspectors flag, and said any buyer's inspector will write it up.
So now I'm sitting here with a decision I didn't budget for. Replace a panel on a cosmetic job and I've broken my own rule, and I'm into permits. Leave it and I'm negotiating against an inspection report at the closing table. What do people actually do with this?
