Broker asked about inland marine coverage, so I said nothing
We run a small service crew and I've been pricing out adding staging as a second line, mostly for two flippers we already do work for. Called our broker to ask what would change on our policy and he immediately asked whether we'd want inland marine coverage on the inventory. I said I'd call him back.
So far as I can tell our general liability covers us if we damage the house or someone trips over our dolly, and commercial auto covers the truck. What I can't work out is what covers $20,000 of my own furniture sitting in a vacant house that I don't control the keys to for 60 days. And separately, do stagers need any kind of license? Someone told me interior design is licensed in some states and staging isn't, which sounds like the kind of thing that's half right.
