She'd pay me more if I stopped using AI. Is that a real preference?
I do fast flips, thin margins, and I've been writing my own listing copy forever because paying for it never penciled. An agent I've closed two deals with asked if I'd write copy for her listings. Then she said her old provider's stuff started sounding like everyone else's and she'd pay a premium for work that wasn't run through a model.
Here's my problem. I use a model. Not for the finished thing, but I use it to get from blank page to a draft in six minutes instead of forty. If I told her that flat out I think I'd lose the work. If I don't tell her, I'm selling something on a claim I'm not fully making good on.
And the other read is that she doesn't actually care about the tool. She cares that the last batch was generic and she's pinning a quality problem on the tool. If that's it, I should just show her work that isn't generic and let her decide.
I can't tell whether the market for agent marketing is going to reward disclosure, or reward people who keep the workflow to themselves and compete on output.
An agent client asks whether you use AI in producing their marketing. What do you do?
