When a seller lead goes cold after showing, most systems treat it the same as a lead that never responded
A showing creates a different record than a cold contact, and a CRM that flattens both into "no response" is losing information that actually changes how the follow-up should run. Someone who walked a property has already spent time, which means the friction is different. They may have a number in their head, they may be waiting on a family conversation, or the property revealed something they did not want to say out loud. None of that is the same as a lead who opened one text and went silent. If the pipeline stage stays the same, the follow-up sequence stays the same, and you are running the wrong message at someone who already told you something by showing up. The question I am sitting with is where to break the stage. Some builds I have seen split it into a post-showing bucket that runs a shorter, lower-pressure sequence with a harder cutoff, say 45 days before archiving, while the cold-contact bucket runs longer at lower frequency. Others log the showing as a task note but keep the stage flat, which costs the automation logic entirely. The flat approach is simpler to build and easier for a solo operator to maintain, but you lose the ability to report on how many deals came from showings versus cold follow-up, which matters when you are trying to figure out where your marketing money is actually working. What does your current setup do when a lead who showed goes quiet, and do you have any way to pull that group separately right now?
