The USPS propagation lag is the part nobody warns you about and it burned us too, different county but same mechanism. What I would add is that the propagation timeline is not consistent and if you try to re-submit before it clears you can actually trigger a flag on the listing that puts you in a longer manual review queue. We were in Pickett County on a property near Pickett State Park, submitted too early, got flagged, and it added six weeks to the process that had nothing to do with the address anymore, it was just the queue. So the three weeks Blount gave you, that is the address side, but then you need another buffer before you touch the platform again.

The other thing that bit us was that Google Maps had its own pin location that disagreed with the 911 address coordinates by about 400 feet, and even after USPS was clean, guests were getting routed wrong and leaving one-star navigation complaints inside the first month. Had to submit a Google Maps correction through their reporting tool and that took another five weeks to update. So on a rural parcel you are really running three parallel processes: the 911 filing, the USPS propagation, and the Google pin correction, and they do not move at the same speed. If you are in a county where the GIS office will give you the exact lat/long they assigned to the structure, get that number and plug it manually into the platform listing coordinates on top of the address field. That at least keeps guests going to the right spot while Google catches up.

The one thing I have never seen work is calling Airbnb support and asking them to manually override the address verification. Every host I know who tried that got a ticket, a boilerplate 72-hour response, and then nothing. The rep cannot touch that layer at all, it is fully automated and they are not looking at anything you uploaded. What you figured out with the 911 addressing office is the real path, and it applies outside Tennessee too. I ran into a near-identical situation with an unaddressed agricultural parcel in Rabun County, Georgia, and the county addressing coordinator there was the only person in the entire chain who actually understood what needed to happen. Took closer to six weeks for USPS propagation on that one, not three, probably because it landed as a rural route designation rather than a standard city-style address.
